About Northeast Ohio Journeys

The Gist of Our Site…
We want to vist popular destinations along with hidden ones which are not as well known, but should be. The idea is for us to travel somewhere, enjoy ourselves while taking notes and photos, then showcase it with its own dedicated page once we get home. We love the open road before us, and we hope our own website will inspire us to find even more roads we may not have otherwise looked for. Our website gives us one more reason to get up in the morning!

About Jen…
Jen’s a whirling-fricking-dervish. Through her work with Project Linus, she’s responsible for thousands of children getting emotional support blankets when they need them most. Through her fostering work with the Cleveland APL and other animal rescue organizations over the years, she’s the reason hundreds of formerly stray cats and kittens are, at this very moment, happily purring away on soft couches and warm laps all over the Northeast Ohio region. Jen has a ‘way’ with all animals, especially kittens. (And, um, baby birds, baby squirrels, baby bunnies, etc.)
To Sum It All Up…
We hope Northeast Ohio Journeys will be a fun, interesting and informative site to read as you sip your morning coffee or savor your evening wine. So, just to formally introduce ourselves… My wife’s name is Jen. My name is Greg. Northeast Ohio Journeys is our site. Let’s Go Have Fun is our mission!

In Case You Were Wondering…
Northeast Ohio Journeys was created to showcase the Northeast Ohio region, as well as any place we visit inside or outside Ohio. ‘Northeast Ohio’ was chosen because it’s where we live (we come to you from the sourthern burbs of Cleveland) and ‘Journeys’ was chosen because ‘Northeast Ohio Road Trips’ wouldn’t sound as nice. Taking road trips – or ‘journeys’ –all over Ohio and beyond is what this site is all about. I’m a photographer with some really nice gear and about 15 years of experience and know-how, so it’s great fun to illustrate our site as well!

About Me….
I often photograph public events, and usually with my three big Nikons hanging from my person (which not only makes me the geekiest photographer around, but also the easiest one to spot in public.) I’m no artist but I try to be, and pixels are my chosen medium. Sometimes I get real lucky and capture images I’m very proud of! Photography means everything to me, and I love it so much. Photography preserves the fleeting continuum of our lives.
My wife Jen is more than happy to let me write this website, as she’s forever stuck doing all the truly important things around our house. To keep things simple, I’m writing the site in the first-person plural point of view even though she’s always at my side and is very much involved. She’s the Ever-More-Practical, Lead-Co-Captain on our Two-Person Journey Crew, and none of this would be possible without her good sense and judgment to reign me in from my more foolish ideas.
